Maris restaurant, located at Omišalj Campsite, fosters an authentic and well-rounded approach to gastronomy in which every story begins on its own estate. Led by Sanjin Ilić, an excellent sommelier and F&B manager with extensive international experience but also a sincere passion for Krk tradition, Maris cuisine develops as a complete gastronomic ecosystem – from growing ingredients and respecting natural cycles to the carefully crafted final dish on the plate.
Gnocchi na strguju with lamb žgvacet are prepared with handmade gnocchi and a rich, aromatic ragout made from lamb raised on the estate. Krk sheep graze on the karst terrain full of Mediterranean herbs, which gives the meat an intense and distinctive flavour.
Omišalj Campsite fosters a sustainable and self-sufficient approach. With an organic garden, farm and olive groves, most of the ingredients are produced on site and used daily in the kitchen.
Here, every ingredient has its own origin – and its own purpose.
