At Konoba Luce, tradition is not only preserved through recipes – it lives on through the estate’s own produce and love for the authentic flavours of Vrbnik. Brothers Ivica and Tončić Grdinić, long-time restaurateurs, have developed a story that combines local heritage and a contemporary approach to gastronomy.
The indigenous Žlahtina, homemade brandies and liqueurs made from fig, sage, mead, sour cherry and lemon hold a special place, along with hand-prepared fruit spreads made from carefully selected ingredients, including ‘Grandma’s Apple’, sour cherry, tangerine and a unique combination of orange, fig and Campari.
Alongside the preservation of traditional flavours, Konoba Luce continuously develops new products and contemporary interpretations of Mediterranean heritage, creating an authentic story that combines tradition, innovation and love for the island.
